Best Sip And Paint in London
There are lots of ways to spend an evening in London, but if you're after something creative, sociable and a little bit different, sip and paint is hard to beat. The question is, where to go?
We might be a tiny bit biased but we've been running our sip and paint workshops since 2017 and we've learnt a lot about what makes a great one. Here's what to look for and why we think you'll love painting with us.
What makes a great sip and paint?
Before you book anywhere, it's worth checking a few things:
- Friendly, patient artists. Most people who come to sip and paint haven't painted in years. A good artist makes it easy and fun, not intimidating.
- Everything included. You shouldn't have to bring a thing. Canvas, paints, brushes and a drink should all be sorted.
- A space you actually want to be in. It makes a big difference when the room feels relaxed and welcoming.
- Somewhere easy to get to. Nobody wants a trek across London before they've even picked up a brush.
- Great reviews. The best way to know what to expect is to see what other guests have said.
Meet Brush & Bubbles
We're Tiff and Lara, two friends who met at an acting audition in 2015 and spent the whole three-hour train journey chatting, laughing and celebrating with a glass of bubbles. By the end of the evening, we'd come up with a slightly crazy plan to start a business together, and Brush & Bubbles was born in 2017.
We spent our early years running workshops around the UK, before finally getting the keys to our very own studio in Covent Garden. We picked every paint colour, piece of furniture and finishing touch ourselves, and in 2024 we opened the doors to our dreamy pastel studio.
A studio in the middle of Covent Garden
You'll find us on Goodwin's Court, a little gas-lit alley between St Martin's Lane and Bedfordbury. Harry Potter fans might like to know that it's rumoured to have inspired Diagon Alley!
We're around a five-minute walk from Leicester Square, Covent Garden and Charing Cross stations, so we're easy to get to after work or at the weekend. Once you've finished painting, Covent Garden Market, Soho, Trafalgar Square and the rest of the West End are right on your doorstep.
What happens at our workshops?
Every workshop lasts two hours. When you arrive, your easel, canvas, paints, brushes, palette and apron will be ready and waiting, along with a glass of bubbles (or a non-alcoholic alternative if you prefer). Pop the music on, and one of our friendly artists will guide you through the painting step by step.
No experience needed, promise! By the end, you'll have your very own masterpiece to take home.
Workshops seven days a week
We run public workshops on:
- Weekdays: 7pm to 9pm
- Saturdays: 11am to 1pm, 2.30pm to 4.30pm and 6pm to 8pm
- Sundays: 12pm to 2pm
Each workshop has its own painting, so you can choose a date based on the design you love most. Keep an eye out for our limited edition workshops too, like Halloween and Christmas bauble painting!
Standard workshops are £49 per ticket, and limited edition workshops are £55.
Don't just take our word for it
We're proud to have a 5.0 rating from more than 1,200 reviews. Every time we read a lovely message from a guest, we can't help but do a little happy dance!
Planning something bigger?
As well as public workshops, we host private sip and paint parties for hen parties, birthdays, baby showers and corporate events. Get in touch and we'll help you plan it.
